Chic Basics Try-On Haul

Hey guys! I’m sharing another Amazon try-on haul with you. This time I was looking for versatile and classic items that can be styled many different ways. To see me try on the clothes, click here. Let me know what you think in the comments below!

Sweater - This is a great top for concealed carry! It’s not majorly thick like a wool cable knit, but it’s thick enough to prevent any “printing” or showing an outline of the gun. Layering necklaces over a simple top like this adds some intereste. For a few different looks, you could layer a button down shirt underneath, tuck it into a high waisted skirt, or wear a jacket overtop.

Heels - I’m a big fan of kitten heels, especially for those times that I need to dress up but may be standing or walking a lot throughout the day. If you don’t want to wear a full heel, these can add a lady like touch. Whenever I wear a pair of kitten heels out, I always make sure to replace them! This pair has a nice, sleek look. I normally wear a 6 or 6 and a half. I’m glad I didn’t size up this time because the 6 was just right. Plus, they’re made of leather so they may relax a bit.

Coat - This dressy coat is made from a wool blend and has a silky lining. As far as warmth, I’d consider it a light weight winter coat. My favorite part is the neckline, which raises up a bit. It also has marbled buttons. Since it doesn’t have any hardware, it won’t compete with the hardware of your purse or the accessories you choose to wear.

Turtle neck - Stripes are definitely classic. Instead of going with a neutral I choose the color, Dark Rose to stand out. Styling ideas: you could tuck it in, wear it with leggings, add a cardigan or jacket, pair with a skirt… the options are endless.

Mockneck Sweater - I love the neckline of this lovely top! The knit is very fine, which I think makes it chic. This is another great basic you can use to feature your best accessories. It was also very easy to tuck into a high waisted skirt or layer under a jacket.

Pullover Sweater - This top is so warm and cozy! It doesn’t feel like a lot of the sherpa out there, it’s more of a teddy bear texture. The fuzzy material is inside the pocket as well, which feels nice. Great for layering over a casual outfit to add extra warmth.

Trench Coat - This might be my favorite item from the haul! Its very light weight and flowy. It ties together with a belt but there’s no button on the inside to keep it closed. That surprised me at first but then I wore it open, and saw how nicely the material draped, almost like a waterfall jacket. Now I see how a button would take away from that effect. I would wear this coat to dress up in spring, summer and early fall. I think it could also be dressed down by rolling up the sleeves and wearing cute sneakers.

Dress - This stretchy, form fitting dress is made from ribbed material and can be both dressed up and down. It has a slit in the side, which seems to be very stylish this season. If you’re trying to conceal carry with this dress, I think a shapewear thigh holster or a concealed carry purse will be the way to go.
