Stay Safe and Secure When Celebrating this Season - 5 Holiday Looks Perfect For Concealed Carry

Hello, friends . . . Happy December!

For me, this month is filled with anticipation as I count down the days to Christmas! Living in the Midwest, I just love the snow, the (longer) starry nights, the cheery, uplifting decorations people display on their homes and in shops around town . . . and I’m filled with hope! I also look forward to sharing in the festivities with friends, family and co-workers.

During this season that emphasizes get-togethers of all sorts, you may be, like me, not surprised that your schedule is starting to include both formal and informal gatherings. If you are planning to attend an upcoming holiday do you already know what you’ll be wearing?!

Of course, this wouldn’t be “Elegant & Armed” without presenting you with stylish holiday fashions and showing you how to conceal a self-defense tool to assure your well-being while you’re out and about!

Given I always appreciate a chance to dress up and I love pairing outfits, I’ve put together 5 festive ensembles you could wear (or mix-and-match with something already in your wardrobe!) to your next holiday party!

Here are 5 of my favorite ways to “conceal” with each outfit, allowing you to keep yourself chic and secure this holiday season!

I really like how versatile this refined, yet fashionable dress can be. Available in cranberry, black and light pink, it can be worn in any season (depending on how you style it). I paired mine with tights and some white faux fur, which gives off a fancy, wintery vibe! For accessories, I’ve included a shimmery purse and a pair of lovely gold-tinted gem earrings. Add a pop of dark pink lipstick and you’ll radiate sophistication in this glamorous look right out of old Hollywood!

Ideal Holster for this Outfit: Can Can Concealment Thigh Holster
With long, flowy dresses, I tend to choose a thigh holster. Here, I’m wearing the Can Can Concealment thigh holster overtop of my tights and just above my knee, so it doesn’t rub against my other leg. An excellent choice!

Need an outfit for your office holiday party? This cherry blouse is perfect for an upscale or professional event. I chose this pair of lace crop pants, because they’re the perfect length to display the bow ankle straps of the pumps I’m wearing (my new favorites!). Add a little holiday sparkle with some classy earrings and a clutch.

Ideal Holster for this Outfit: Lethal Lace Universal Holster
Take advantage of the draped material of this blouse. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but it creates an opportunity to discreetly store your firearm or concealed self-defense tool… and this holster beautifully complements the look!

When I unwrapped this luxurious velvet dress, it was so soft I made an involuntary gasping noise! (I couldn’t help myself!) The wide v-neck (almost off the shoulders), makes for a truly timeless look. I suggest adding your favorite dangly earrings, tights (I think this polka-dot pair adds a lady-like effect) and some pumps. Or, for something bolder, you could adorn your neck with an enchanting statement necklace. Add some silky gloss on your lips to finish this simple, yet elegant look.

Ideal Holster for this Outfit: Undertech Undercover Concealment Shorts
Never fear, here’s a great way to carry in a pencil skirt! These concealment shorts by Undertech Undercover provide the perfect little pocket for your gun AND they’ll act as shapewear, creating a smooth silhouette under your dress.

It’s important to feel good in what you’re wearing. In the photo above, I felt like the life of the party! Ladies, when you find that kind of outfit, hold onto it!

I was first inspired to put together the ensemble you see here by this pair of black velvet leggings (which are on sale right now!), then I added a green flowy blouse with an adorable cutout in back. I wanted to wear my Vince Camuto mules (50% off!), so I layered polka-dot nylons underneath. At first, I was concerned the layers may be restricting, but what I found is that they added warmth and almost felt like yoga pants!

Ideal Holster for this Outfit: Can Can Concealment Hip Hugger
Since this outfit clings a little tighter than the rest, I’ve chosen this particular holster, which presses the firearm firmly to my body. The leggings also provide some compression, which helps conceal your self-defense tool. FYI, the velvet leggings did create some static electricity in my blouse but much less so when I later layered a camisole underneath. So, make sure to either use layers or some type of static guard!

Ah, another favorite! I love this fuscia dress by Vince Camuto. The gathered material on the side creates an hourglass figure that’s ever so flattering! And you can certainly say “Glitz and Glam” with these boots! I paired some equally glittery earrings and a clutch to pull it all together. You’ll be looking fabulous and ready for fun in this outfit.

Ideal Holster for this Outfit: Undertech Undercover Concealment Shorts
Again, even in a form-fitting dress, there’s a way to carry a gun on your body. These highly adaptable, extremely comfortable* Undertech Undercover Concealment shorts have you covered!

Now, seriously, ladies… Aren’t these outfits darling?! With options like the ones pictured above, you’ll look chic AND be prepared, safe and secure during the festivities. Surely, besides our own protection, the safety of our friends and family is a prime reason we choose to carry. I wish you all the safest and merriest Christmas!
