3 Cute Christmas Party Outfits You Can Conceal Carry With
Is it just me, or does December always seem to fly by? This year I’m making a conscious effort to really savor the season by saying yes to parties and spending as much time with family and friends as possible!
However, just because we’re celebrating, that doesn’t mean it’s time to get lax with safety. For the concealed carry gals like me, that means not forgetting your gun at home!
One great way to prioritize safety is to plan your party outfits ahead of time with concealed carry in mind. To help you out, I put together a few conceal carry outfit “recipes” to help you get ready for your next holiday event!
Let’s go caroling!
Pair a mid-length skirt or dress with knee high boots for a feminine, yet warm winter look. I love this combination because it protects your skin from cold weather.
Next, add a cute and cozy sweater. The white turtleneck I’m wearing always reminds me of Christmas! The sweater should hit at the smallest part of your waist so if its longer, you might want to tuck it in. Whether you’re wearing a skirt or a dress, I recommend tucking your sweater into a belt around your waist, which gives the appearance of a tucked sweater without adding bulk under your skirt.

I’m using my most comfortable thigh holster - the Dene Adams Thigh Holster Shorts to conceal my firearm. The shorts make it easy to walk around without chaffing my leg opposite of the gun.
I also have the most adorable backup holster! This is The Bunting, made by Kimberly Handbags. This bag is perfect as a classy, everyday purse. Plus, with a built-in holster (sold separately), it provides a safe place to temporarily store my firearm (in public restrooms, dressing rooms, etc.)
White Elephant Party
This combination is so classic for Christmas! I love wearing all black and letting a statement skirt really pop. Put on a pair of sheer black tights, accessorize with gold, then show off your favorite ankle booties.
Feel free to choose a skirt length and shape that you like best. I will say, the shorter your hemline goes, the more difficult it can be to conceal a thigh holster. My thigh holster shorts are too long to wear with this skirt, so I opted for a thigh holster band made by Can Can Concealment. The band works because I can wear it higher up and on the outside of my leg.

Tips for comfort: make sure your thigh holster is snug enough to support your gun, but not so tight that it cuts off your circulation. When wearing the band higher up on your leg, I find it’s more comfortable to position the gun on the outside of the leg rather than the inner thigh.
Christmas Movies & Cocoa
If you’re not into dresses, try this combination: a cozy knit turtleneck and a pair of dark, dressy jeans. Choosing flair jeans with a hemline that reaches the ground will elongate your body, making you look taller, especially if the length requires a heel.
This simple and elegant look is great for casual settings. All you need to make it more festive is red lipstick, sparkly earrings, and a fur accessory like a detachable faux fur collar or a faux fur clutch.

Tips for comfort:
If wearing a belt over your hip bones is uncomfortable (especially with the weight of a gun), try high waisted pants to place the belt over soft tissue instead of bone.
Does your gun rub against your skin and cause discomfort? Try layering a tank top underneath your sweater and tuck it behind your holster and gun to protect your skin.
Stay safe and enjoy the season!
