3 Elements that Will Make Your Party Outfit Pop
December is great for spending time with people you love. It’s often filled with cheery parties and family get-togethers.
Need outfit inspiration for an upcoming gathering? I pulled together a few party looks to get the ideas flowing! Personally, I really enjoy shopping, but you don’t have to spend large sums to dress elegantly. Try starting with some basics from your closet and see if you can add one or two elements to make the ensemble pop!
Start with some basics that you already have. I’m working with a long sleeve mock neck tshirt, simple black dress, knit turtleneck sweater, a black slit skirt, and heels.
Add an element or two that pops! You may already have something like this in your wardrobe but if not, check the link for a few options.
Satin
Pair one of your basics with some slinky satin, maybe a blouse or skirt. This material makes an ensemble dressier.
Shimmer
A little sparkle goes a long way! You can accent your outfit with shimmery pair of heels, a purse, or a gem necklace in a festive hue. I like the idea of a monochrome outfit with one or two shimmery pieces in the same color.
Texture
Use different textures to add some interest. For the holiday season, I often think of Faux fur and velvet. Not only are they festive, but they’ll keep you warm!
Here are a few outfits I put together for inspiration!
Skirt | Faux Fur Coat (Similar) | Faux Fur Stole
Velvet Leggings (Similar) | Velvet Tank | Velvet Skinny Pants
I hope you all have a wonderful and safe holiday! Enjoy the season and have fun, but also be smart by having your self-protection tool with you. As always, I want to encourage you to be prepared!
