4 Fab Ways to Style Alexo Athletica Leggings for Fall
Fall Style
Cooler weather is just around the corner and my mind has turned to cashmere, boots and scarves. Yes, I’m looking forward to fall! I’ve already unboxed my warm clothing in preparation for the season and I have to admit, one pair of leggings stands out from the rest - the Alexo Athletica Carry Crop.
Here’s why I love these leggings (and you very well may, too! 😉). Alexo Athletica is a clothing line that supports a woman’s right to choose how she defends herself. With seven pockets built into their Carry Crop and nine in their Signature Pants, these leggings are perfect for storing the self-defense tool of your choice. Whether it be pepper spray, a firearm, a taser, you name it! You’ll even have pockets left over for keys, credit cards, lipstick, or whatever else you choose.
Because these leggings are so convenient AND because their supportive design makes me feel slim, I find myself reaching for them much more frequently than I work out. Yes, they are meant for athletic use, but I say, why limit yourself? Check out these four safe-yet-stylish ways to make use of Alexo Athletica leggings this fall.
Athletic

For a full-on workout or just getting in some exercise, it’s easy to pair Alexo leggings with this lightweight pink top from Old Navy. The moisture-wicking fabric helps keep you dry, plus, the delicate mesh detail is made extra breathable. It’s also the perfect top for concealing a self-defense tool, because you can wear it a couple of different ways. To conceal in front, you can wear the top loose and flowy. For back pocket concealment, tie up the back to create folds in the fabric. (See photos above.)
When I saw this Herringbone full-zip performance jacket from Old Navy, I was drawn to it right away. The herringbone pattern is such a classic, but is also very on trend this fall. Add your favorite tennis shoes (mine is this pair from New Balance), and you’re ready to go!
Athleisure

Branching off from athletic-wear, “athleisure” has grown so much in popularity, it’s become its own style category. If athleisure is your go-to style, Alexo leggings will fit seamlessly into your wardrobe! I first tried a sweatshirt dress, but it was way too long (on a short girl like me). Then I discovered this French Terry Tunic, which is just the right length. Finish the outfit with a fashionable athletic shoe, like these from Adidas, and you’ve got an easy, appealing, sporty look!
Casual

For this outfit, I want to hide the fact I’m wearing athletic leggings. Since I’m dressed in Alexo Athletica’s Carry Crop, I choose a boot that’s tall enough to cover the mesh detail and logo. Faux suede over-the-knee boots like these work perfectly! The average riding boot is not sufficiently high -- however, they would work with Alexo’s Signature Pant. Top with a flowy camisole and a mid-length knit cardigan. Stay current by adding some type of animal print accessory to classic pieces in your wardrobe. These earrings from Chicos provide an inexpensive way to ensure your outfit is in vogue this fall!
Chic

This is one of my favorite ensembles! Once again, I’ve paired the Alexo leggings with faux suede knee high boots. Here (see photo above), I’m wearing a chunky heel, but you can also go with a dressier stiletto boot. Make sure to wear a long tank top to cover your back side (similar) and add a comfortable, yet sharp-looking poncho overtop. The bateau neckline of the one pictured above is so elegant, it caught my eye immediately! Add some delicate earrings and what you get is a chic look that you can either dress up or down.
So there you have it! Four different ways to adapt these affordable Alexo Leggings to your wardrobe, so you can stay safe AND stylish this season.
