Reveal Of The “Natalie” Concealed Carry Purse
I’m very pleased to finally to share… I’ve been collaborating with Cameleon Bags to bring you a chic new concealed carry purse!
The collaboration has been a first for both parties, and has been a great experience so far. I wanted to partner with Cameleon not only because they sell quality products, but they work with the utmost integrity, and they’re dedicated to understanding the needs of women who want to carry a firearm. Plus, they’re a lot of fun to work with!
After much dreaming, deliberation, and hard work, I’m thrilled to reveal the Natalie Handbag! I’m so happy with how the bag turned out! Here’s what I love about it…
Function
I wanted the Natalie handbag to be as discreet as possible, so you can be stealthy and mysterious with your self-defense. I think we’ve achieved this by giving the holster pocket top access only. Just by looking at it, you’d never know this is a concealed carry purse!
Highly structured purses have always been a favorite of mine. Our handbag is structured not only for aesthetics, but for function. Because the bag holds it’s shape, you’ll always know the direction your firearm is facing.
Every woman deserves to feel safe, so whether it’s a firearm, stun gun, pepper spray, etc., you can store your self-defense tool of choice in the middle pocket. The adjustable nylon holster will keep the trigger covered and the tool held in place.
Another thing I value is the comfort of the draw. If you’ve ever been scratched by a zipper or the Velcro lining of a holster pocket, I think you’ll appreciate this design. To achieve a more luxurious feel, we lined only one side of the pocket with loop side Velcro and the other side of the pocket with soft material. We also selected a coil zipper made from plastic, which is a little easier on the hands than metal.
The handles and removable shoulder strap provide two ways to carry this bag. My favorite way is to hang the handles in the crook of my elbow, but you can also grasp them in your hand or wear the shoulder strap across your body. I love that when using the shoulder strap, the handles fall flat with the purse and they don’t get in the way.
There’s plenty of room inside for your belongings. One thing I really like about the shape is how easy it is to slide in a book or two. Personally, I like to carry my journal, bible and/or calendar along with me.
Beauty
I think the beauty of a bag is just as important as its function, so we spent a good amount of time discussing hardware, types of leather, the color.
Cameleon helped me choose a high-quality pebbled leather that won’t scratch easily, is soft to the touch, and gives the bag a refined appearance.
For the color, I had a specific shade in mind. We talked in depth about various shades of brown and arrived at the perfect hue of Chestnut!
I choose gold hardware because it dresses the purse up a bit, and gold jewelry is popular right now, so Hopefully, this makes its easy to coordinate with your favorite accessories.
I’m thankful for the opportunity to work with Cameleon to bring you a concealed carry purse with so many features I love. Currently, we’re in the pre- production phase, but I cannot wait to start carrying my own purse around!
