Do you ever get back from a shopping trip feeling excited to show your mom/husband/roommate, etc. what you bought? That’s how I feel today! Except for the jeans, I found this entire outfit on Amazon.
I’ve been looking for a pair of flat, pointy toed slides so when I found them, they became the inspiration for this outfit. Next, I choose this striped peplum top because it has two features I thought would be good for concealed carry- a pattern and a ruffle.
The shirt is different than I expected. First, it runs large. I ordered an extra small but it feels more like a medium. I was originally planning to pair this top with shorts but once I realized it was more like a tunic, I choose to wear it with capris. If you want it to fit more like a regular shirt, I recommend sizing down. Also, the material is thin, breathable, and flowy, which is great for comfort! The combination of the peplum being lower than my waist and the material being thin, did cause a bit of printing (showing a bump or outline of the gun through the material). However, wearing a tank top underneath helped prevent a bulge.
This long pink bomber jacket is my favorite part of the look. It sold out pretty quickly after buying it, but luckily I found it on Amazon through another vendor! The material is lightweight and feels almost suede-like. It’s going to be a great transitional piece moving into fall. I’ve received compliments two out of the three times I’ve worn it.
