Concealed Carry Resources for Women
Elegant & Armed is here to encourage women and give them practical tools to become more capable and confident. On this website, we help women choose the right holster, dress around a firearm, and find carry methods that fit their daily routines.
However, there are also organizations and services that can help with areas outside of what we do, including gun rights advocacy, insurance, and other support for firearm owners. This page is where we’ll share resources we believe are worth knowing about.
Gun Rights & Advocacy
Gun Owners of America
Gun Owners of America (GOA) is a nonprofit gun-rights organization that works to protect Second Amendment rights through legislative advocacy, grassroots efforts, and legal action.
Founded in 1976, GOA advocates for gun owners at both the state and federal levels and describes its approach to Second Amendment issues as “no compromise.”
Why Are Gun Owners Joining GOA Right Now?
GOA has been getting a lot of attention recently following a major federal court ruling involving the National Firearms Act.
On August 5, 2026, a federal court ruled in a lawsuit involving GOA and other plaintiffs that certain federal registration requirements affecting suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, and other NFA-regulated items were unconstitutional after Congress reduced the applicable federal tax to $0.
One part of the ruling has been especially important to gun owners: the court limited the injunction to the plaintiffs involved in the case, including members of the organizations that brought the lawsuit.
Because GOA was one of those organizations, many gun owners are now taking a closer look at GOA membership and the role organizations like GOA can play in Second Amendment court cases.
This is an active legal situation, so we recommend following GOA and current legal updates for the latest information.
What Do You Get With a GOA Membership?
